Apart from cameras, a computer and lighting you’ll also need some additional accessories listed here.
Tripods
Your cameras will need be stable and lifted off the ground, for which tripods are the easiest way to go. There are different ways to achieve this, such as wall mounted arms, but for most cases tripods will suffice.
Ball Heads
To attach your camera to the tripod we suggest using ball heads, which are easy to use for changing your camera’s rotation/angle. You’ll need one for each camera.
Zip Ties
Use zip ties to attach your cables to the tripods in order to avoid bumping into them and accidentally moving the cameras.
Power Strip or Power Extension Cord
Usually your furthest away cameras will be at least 2 meters apart and because of that you’ll need to have some way to extends power to the cameras that are not right by a power outlet. So make sure you have either some power strips or power extension cords.
USB Cables
Because your cameras are gonna be further away from your computer than the length of cables which come together with azure kinect cameras allow for, you’ll need a way to extend that. There are two ways to do this, buying longer usb-c to usb-a cables, or buying a usb-a to usb-a cable extensions. We recommend the first approach of buying longer cables, as it provides more stability.
Direct USB Cables (USB-C to USB-A)
We recommend buying cables that are advertised as VR ready, in order to make sure that your cables will be able to handle the data coming from cameras. Also the recommended length of these cables is 5 meters.

USB Cable Extension (USB-A to USB-A)
You can use the usb-c to usb-a cable that comes with the camera and then extend it using a usb-a to usb-a extender, but keep in mind that for most cases this cable will need to be powered externally in order to handle the data throughput.

Stage Floor Board (optional)
It is often good to know the boundaries of your stage so that you do not move out of it during recording, for this we recommend to use some sort of a floor board. This can be made from anything non reflective or glossy. We recommend using some sort of plywood, but make sure that it will not reflect light.
